What to Expect from a Turnkey Warehouse Solution
Turnkey Warehouse Solutions Deliver the Goods with End-to-End Support
Whether you’re talking about home sales and renovations, car purchases, or warehousing design, you will often hear the same phrase –turnkey. Providers offer turnkey service to satisfy the customer’s most essential need, which is to deliver a complete solution so that they can begin using it immediately. Just turn the key, and off you go, as it were. Well, the bigger the project, the more complex it is and the more it takes to deliver on that turnkey promise. So, when you’re hiring your next project team, these are the turnkey warehouse solutions you should expect.
5 Phases of a Successful Turnkey Warehouse Solution
“The Total Satisfaction Experience”
Phase 1 – The Comprehensive Assessment ™
When working with a warehouse and systems integrator, you are looking for a customized solution to your needs. Customized doesn’t immediately have to mean extra expensive with long lead times. All it should mean is that your facility’s storage and processing systems will be the right sizes, capacities, speeds, functionality, etc., to optimize your available space and be within the scope of your team and equipment.
The Warehouse Optimizers, Inc. (WOI) team handles the initial customer meeting by visiting your facility to speak with you directly. We listen closely to your objectives, challenges, and goals. We conduct a thorough walk-through and offer expert insight while evaluating your current operation or new facility expectations. Next, we create the most cost-effective storage and processing plan that we can deliver within your time constraints.
Phase 2 – The Objective and Solution Review ™

When you review the plan, ensure that your integrator again meets with you in person to carefully review each detail and explain each system design and function. Your plan should adhere to your project timeline and be aesthetically pleasing. Address any questions, and expect prompt responses.
At WOI, we expect a round of revisions with an initial warehouse or systems design. We will always promptly respond with updates to ensure we stay on schedule. If no modifications are requested, we just earned a few more days in the schedule.
Phase 3 – The Project Timeline and Installation Schedule ™
Speaking of the schedule, the next step is to provide comprehensive drawings for your approval. At this stage, there may still be minor changes –drawings should be updated to include any approved revisions. Approval of the final drawings will trigger manufacturing and product ordering, including safety features and mechanisms required for permitting and OSHA guidelines.
Plan approval also means it’s time to create the project timeline and installation schedule. The installation schedule sets transportation and delivery dates. At WOI, we include time for unloading materials and even identify lay-down areas to ensure a smooth process for our full-time, professional rack installation team.
Phase 4 – The Project Execution and Safety Analysis ™

At this point in the process, meeting with the project manager and installation foreman is advantageous. At this meeting, review the schedule and make them aware of any site-specific safety concerns or corporate guidelines they must follow.
At WOI, the result of that meeting is a thorough review with our team so that they understand your expectations to ensure a safe workspace while on-site. As part of our safety protocol, we conduct job safety analysis daily.
Your project is safe in our hands. The project manager will execute and manage all aspects of the build, address any unexpected obstacles, and manage any effects on the project timeline. We will always notify you of any changes or offer options where we can to maintain the established timeline.

To achieve that, we ask you to take that final walk-through to inspect your new systems and equipment for quality workmanship, product functionality, and a clean, pleasing appearance.
