Comparing Pallet Racking Systems JIT for the Seasonal Rush

Summer Heat Will Soon Give Way to Winter Demand — Be Ready with Custom Pallet Racking

There’s no time like the present… did someone say present? That’s right, while we are mired in the heat of the summer, we all know what is right around the corner. The crunch is on to get the necessary pallet rack and storage solutions to get you successfully through the end-of-year seasonal demand.

If you need more storage capacity or are interested in a dynamic system such as gravity flow or push-back — we can promptly process your order and schedule your installation to ensure we meet your timelines. Whether you decide to add a new pallet rack or reconfigure and add on to what you have, our warehouse storage experts are here to help.

We have strong ties with our manufacturing partners and often benefit from shorter lead times. But, the window for end-of-the-year is closing soon, so don’t delay.

Take a look at the options that we have available.

Selective Pallet Rack - Warehouse Optimizers, Inc. Drive-In Pallet Rack - Warehouse Optimizers, Inc. Pallet Flow Rack - Warehouse Optimizers, Inc.

Selective Pallet Racking

Combine 100% pallet selectivity with vertical cube space, and you have selective rack. With easy access from a single aisle, it supports First-In/Fast-Out (FIFO) storage. Position rack rows back-to-back to maximize floor space and add wire deck for improved safety, individual item storage, and case pick from lower levels.

Drive-In Pallet Rack

High-density pallet storage for Last-In/First-Out (LIFO) inventory rotation. Pallets sit on horizontal arms secured to the left- and right-side uprights. Drive-in systems maximize floor and vertical space and do not require specialized forklift equipment. Column and row guarding are recommended due to forklifts driving in and out of rack to deposit and extract pallets.

Pallet Flow Racking

Pallet flow rack uses wheeled rails or rollers set on a slight pitch to propel inventory from the rear load aisle to the opposite pick aisle. Pallet flow is a high-density, FIFO, deep-lane solution for 2-10 pallets per lane. The separate load and pick aisles keep congestion light, allowing ongoing actions throughout the shift.

Push-Back Rack - Warehouse Optimizers, Inc. Cantilever Rack - Warehouse Optimizers, Inc. Carton Flow Conveyor - Storage Solutions Inc

Push-back Racking

Stacked carts sit at the pick aisle, ready for pallets in this high-density storage system. As drivers load pallets, they push back the pallet at the pick aisle to reveal a cart. The pallet is placed on the cart, and the process continues. Each single-SKU lane can hold 2-6 pallets in this FILO system. Carts glide to the pick aisle as pallets are extracted.

Cantilever Rack

Do you need a hand –or better yet, an arm with unusually-shaped items and bulky materials? Get those items up from the floor or ground and use your vertical storage with economical cantilever rack. These rack systems are easy to build and adjust to meet your needs. We offer standard and heavy-duty capacity units.

Carton Flow Rack

Not everything is stored on a pallet, so for efficient case picking and tote storage, try the gravity storage system –carton flow rack. Like pallet flow, this system of pitched wheeled or roller rails is loaded and picked from opposite aisles. Items flow in individual SKU lanes keeping inventory orderly for easy, accurate picking.

Conveyor Systems

If you need help getting inventory from here to there, take a fresh look at conveyors. A large variety of styles and design options make your conveyor system highly customizable and able to return your investment in efficient, effective operation. Choose from gravity systems, push-assisted, and automated conveyors. We can design your conveyor line for intake, processing, sorting, staging, and more.

Conveyor Applications

  • Sorting conveyor
  • Accumulating conveyor
  • Gravity-assisted conveyor
  • Powered belt or roller conveyor
  • Incline conveyor
  • Ball transfer conveyor
