What Are the Secrets of Delivering Customer Satisfaction? Rob Shares Tricks of the Trade
When you spend 20 years in a career, hopefully, you are good at your job and enjoy what you do. That is a great way to describe material handling expert Rob Allen. Rob is a sales representative & project manager for Warehouse Optimizers, Inc. (WOI). He lives in Tennessee and supports businesses from Knoxville to Chattanooga.
When asked about hobbies, Rob quickly says that spending time with his family tops his list… though fishing is a close second. Surprisingly or not, is that Rob adds his job as another favorite “hobby” simply because he genuinely enjoys what he does. He enjoys working in the Tennessee Valley and brags about the friendliness of the people, adding, “They treat me like a friend.”
That spirit is just what the WOI team looks to deliver to customers. Rob has been working in material handling for over 25 years. He has vast experience in the industry from inside and outside sales positions and understands pallet racking, conveyors, and order processing equipment features and options. His experience enables him to suggest solutions to customers that best serve their needs. Those solutions aren’t always the most expensive –sometimes, the shiny new object won’t get the job done any better than the tried and true product. We let our customers know they have options.
Get that Man a Fishing Rod!
While Rob genuinely enjoys his job, he steals as much time as possible to spend with his family –his wife and three children. Though give this man a rod & reel, and a boat, and he’s happy to do some fresh or saltwater fishing.
Rob is also active in his church and volunteers his time. Most people don’t know, however, that in 1985 Rob worked as a cowboy on a ranch in Northern New Mexico when he took a semester off from school. Rob notes that he learned a lot that semester and became highly motivated… “to get my butt back to school!”
Like any good Tennessean, Rob supports the Tennessee Titans but apparently roots for Alabama as well –well, no one is perfect?
